Reports to: Line Manager: District MEL Officer
Duty Station: Catchment / Cluster / Health facility (Same as Cluster coordinators)
Supervises: None
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Location: Oshana x 8
Duties and Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Data Clerk will be responsible for ensuring data entry, data quality assurance, mentorship, analysis, as well as reporting. He/she will be responsible for providing supportive role and data verification with guidance from the District MEL Officer.
Specific Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas:
§ Support timely data capturing services to the REACH 1 program.
§ Provide first line of support to frontline staff responsible for capturing data.
§ Verifies data for completeness, cleanliness, and accuracy. Reviewing, correcting, deleting, re-entering data and address duplication of data
§ When required, enters client/ beneficiary data?
§ Maintain a weekly schedule for regular field visits for mentoring, supervisory and provide data quality assurance and verification.
§ Provide weekly report to the supervisor on the data entry status (target versus achievement)
§ Undertakes cluster/catchment Data Quality Assessment (DQA)
§ Maintain good communication with Community Care Workers (CCWs) to ensure efficient flow of data.
§ Adhere to policies and procedures in day-to-day operations.
§ Respond timely to information queries.
§ Comply with data integrity and security policies.
§ Ensures and maintain confidentiality of collected and stored data.
§ Contribute to team effort and positive moral.
§ Any other duties as delegated by supervisor.
Qualifications, skills, and experience required:
§ A National Diploma in Statistics/Applied mathematics and statistic or related fields
§ Experience in data entry, management and analysis in the health sector is an added advantage.
§ Proven ICT skills in Microsoft Office and Data base management on at least one of the following: Excel, and web-based databases (DHIS 2)
§ Possess excellent communication skills.
§ Good command of English language
§ Knowledge of an indigenous Namibian language is an added advantage.
§ Typing and data entry skills
§ Attention to details, results driven and ability to work under pressure and.
§ Ability to work independently and within a team.
