Job Purpose: To assist the Risk Manager in managing the function as a second line of defense by contributing to the oversight and execution of a wide range of risks and implementing the NamRA’s risk strategy.
Key performance:
– Contribute to developing and enhancing risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
– Assist in establishing risk appetite and tolerance levels.
– Perform daily environmental scans to identify significant risks that might impact NamRA.
– On a quarterly basis, facilitate departmental risk assessment workshops and the completion of the Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and ensure that risk-mitigating strategies are adequately and timely implemented.
– Utilize risk management software and tools effectively to support risk assessment, reporting, and monitoring activities.
Assisting the Risk Manager in managing the budget for the risk management function, including financial planning, resource allocation, and expense control.
Qualifications: A relevant, recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Accounting, and Finance (NQF 7).
Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of which two (2) years should be on supervisory level.
Added Advantage: A Postgraduate Diploma or Certification in related fields will be an added advantage.
