Job Grade: Patterson A Upper Band

Purpose

To accept and process all cash and card transaction for payment of stock.

Requirements

⦁ Grade 12
⦁ Minimum six (6) months experience in a retail environment working as a cashier
⦁ Knowledge and experience of the Kerridge system will serve as an added advantage
⦁ Excellent communication & customer service skills
⦁ Accuracy & attention to detail coupled with excellent numerical skills
⦁ Integrity and honesty
⦁ Good communication and Interpersonal skills
⦁ Highly self-starter and team player

Key Result Areas

⦁ Receiving of cash or card payments from customers
⦁ Recording of sales transactions
⦁ Accurate processing of sales via a computer or scanner
⦁ Issue receipts and change for payments received
⦁ Maintain accurate records of daily transactions
⦁ Do daily cash reconciliation
⦁ Do daily cash ups
⦁ Provide excellent customer service

Personal

⦁ Partake In stock takes
⦁ Assist with cycle counts when assigned
⦁ Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
