VACANCY: TID ELECTRICIAN (FIXED -TERM CONTRACT) x 20

DUTY STATION (S): OTJIWARONGO, TSUMEB, GROOTFONTEIN, OTAVI, OKAKARARA, OUTJO,
KAMANJAB, KHORIXAS, OKAHANDJA, GOBABIS, TSUMKWE

PURPOSE
To serve as a Token Identifier (TID) Electrician during the TID Rollover project, upgrading prepaid meters and
conduct prepaid meter audit.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, AMONGST OTHERS:

• Inspect the prepaid meter for possible bypasses and illegal connections.
• In case of bypasses and illegal connection is detected, inform the team leader immediately to follow the CENORED procedures on illegal connections.
• Record the information on the TID form.
• Generate TID key change tokens from the handheld device.
• Enter the TID key change token on the prepaid meter in the correct sequence.
• Enter the credit token to verify the successful migration of meter to STS6.
• Ensure adequate care of assigned tools and equipment.
• Report any possible damage/ malfunctioning of tools and equipment.
• Ensures that specialized tools and electrician hand tools are cleaned.
• Responsible for cleanliness of the worksite area, to be left in the state that it was found.
• Responsible for cleaning of all TID vehicles and machineries.
• Verify meter usage accuracy (Only 3phase meters).
• Replace incompatible STS6 prepaid metes.
• Assist with all work related to replacement and installation of prepaid meters.
• Replace or install CENORED customized seal.
• Assist with all work related to replacement and installation of prepaid meters.
• Replace or install CENORED customized seal.
• Record and Report all visual problems on electrical systems, prepaid meters, tools and machinery forward
all recorded information to the team leader.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Electrical General Vocational Trade Certificate or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience with CENORED will be advantageous.

POST APPOINTMENT TRAINING:

• Elementary health & safety instructions.
• Training on TID Project.
• Basic Tools and Equipment and operating Procedures.
