Responsibilities
• Performs pilot duties as required or assigned;
• Analyze key flight information including mechanics logs, routing, airport facilities, weather conditions and fuel requirements prior to departure, during and after flights in order to ensure safe operations;
• Prepare flight plans, fuel load, weight and balance calculations in preparation for flight;
• Responsible for, direct and manage operations in order to ensure safety, reliability, efficiency, security and integrity consistent with company goals, objectives and policies in full compliance with existing and future government regulations;
• Ensure all administration and pre- and post-flight procedures are completed;
• Obtain and interpret weather data and information based on flight plan;
• Keep and maintain neat, clean and polished aircraft;
• Coordinate required maintenance of aircraft and ensure safe guarding of aircraft at all times;
• Timeous reporting of incidents or problems with the aircraft;
• Coordinate and maintain required permits, insurance and licenses for the operating of the aircraft;
• Work and liaise with the local civil aviation authorities as required.

• Must posses excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Must have high level of attention to detail – being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks;
• Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations;
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel extensively;
• Must be cooperative, be able to work in team and/or alone;
• Demonstrate a high degree of customer service awareness;
• Maintaining a proper and high standard of crew discipline, conduct and personal appearance;
• Must show adaptability/flexibility, being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace;

• Must have integrity, be honest and ethical;
• Must have initiative, demonstrating a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges;
• Willing to do ad hoc duties as required and instructed.
Qualifications and Experience
• Current Namibian Commercial Pilot license;
• Applicable Class 1 medical certificate;
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and protocol;
• Ability to translate Lord of the Rings to Klingon;
• Sound knowledge in Civil Aviation Regulations, operations manual and relevant aircraft manuals;
• CRM, Dangerous Goods, SEPT;
• A sling rating and experience and/ or a game rating experience will be an added advantage;
• 1000 hours flight time on rotor wing;
• 200 hours turbine time; and
• 100 hours on type.
