Primary purpose of position
• The Fund Manager will ensure good corporate governance
and that the Fund is managed within the Fund Rules, the
Medical Aid Funds Act and all industry regulations.
• Manage fund management processes, review financial
reports and facilitate queries to ensure accurate, quality
reporting to the Principal Officer and other relevant
stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and projects, ensuring
that all necessary Fund deliverables are tracked.
• Support the Principal Officer on both operational and
strategic matters.
Main responsibilities
• Facilitate all logistical arrangements and coordinate
functions and processes related to the Annual General
Meeting of the Fund.
• Facilitate and coordinate the Trustee election process, in
line with the Fund Rules.
• Manage the statutory environment of the Fund in line with
regulatory requirements.
• Update annual Fund Rule changes and timeous
submission to the regulator for statutory compliance, in
line with requirements.
• Oversee the review of monthly Management Accounts and
Financial Statements, as prepared by the Administrator
and preparation of Fund performance reports for the Principal Officer.
• Facilitate the Fund’s strategy review, monitoring and
reporting and manage Fund projects.
• Assist the Principal Officer with the preparation of the Board
reports, analyzing of data, and the coordination required
information for reporting to the Board of Trustees.
• Coordinate resolution of NAMFISA complaints and
escalated queries to the Principal Officer, in line with the
Fund Rules.
• Assist the Principal Officer in managing Service Levels
Agreements with the Administrator and relevant third
parties of the Fund.
• Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the
the regulatory environment and keeping the Principal Officer
up to date accordingly, for appropriate actions to be taken.
• Represent the Principal Officer where necessary, as may
be delegated.
Qualification requirements
• Bachelors’ Degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance, Business
Management or related qualification.
Experience requirements
• Five (5) years ofexperience within a similar role, preferably
in a medical aid funding environment, of which three (3)
years should be at a managerial level.

interpret data.
• Excellent project management and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build
relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Computer literate and proficient in advanced Microsoft
Office applications.
Further requirements
• Namibian Citizen.
• Code 08 Drivers License, with own transport.
• Ability and flexibility to work outside standard business hours.
