Head of Co-Creation
Flexible – Part-to fulltime
Turipamwe is looking for the next Head of Co-Creation to support us in creating a leading agency in design thinking in Namibia. Your role will be to strengthen the financial sustainability of the department and support Namibian corporations and organizations in realizing and maximizing their innovation potential.
Job Criteria: Head of Co-Creation
Are you looking to work with some of the biggest companies in the country while enjoying a creative and entrepreneurial work environment?
You will act as the manager’s trusted right-hand person, identifying the needs of potential customers and helping them identify a solution for them among our four services. Your days will consist of client meetings and project management to develop the business with its service-market -fit and internal processes. You may manage several client accounts simultaneously while continuously seeking new opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Generating leads that lead to closed sales and increased revenue and profit
Prepare proposals and costings for client projects
Develop the business based on customer feedback and market trends to be financially sustainable, desirable to customers, and viable as a solution
Manage projects and a potentially growing team
The dreamer, thinker, maker, and doer we look for has the following skills and traits:
Capacity to strategically identify and pursue new leads and to successfully close lucrative customers.
We are looking for an empathetic and human-centered seller of solutions, not a car salesman.
Business development aptitude to enhance the department’s business model, service offering, and department activities.
The department’s services, business model, and market are still being validated. We practice what we preach and use lean methodologies to build the department, measure the activities and learn from our findings. Understanding lean methodologies in business development will be an asset.
Skills in providing customers with an excellent experience from the first contact to the last. You see our customers as long-lasting partnerships, and you know how to make people feel appreciated.
An entrepreneurial attitude to building things without knowing whether they’ll work. You don’t need to be comfortable with ready-made processes and systems. You enjoy creating something new and understand the risks required to jump into something less established with a ton of potential.
Ideally, you have a grasp of the following:
Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, prioritizing your work and managing your time
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent internal teamwork and communication skills
We hire potential rather than complete packages as we believe in life-long learning, and we’re open to training committed talent (in fact, it’s one of our benefits, see below). We think that the following skills and traits can help you succeed in this role, so we hope that you have at least 1-2 of the below and are keen to grow in the other aspects:
Understanding of the value of good design when it comes to strategy and business development
Training and/or facilitation experience
Management consultancy experience in the realm of strategy, innovation and/or business development
Understanding of lean methods like Design Thinking and Lean Startup
Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
Hands-on experience with digital collaboration tools like Google Drive and Slack, as well as project management tools like Asana
What we offer:
30-40 hrs per week in one of the most fun and creative workplaces in the country
A base salary with a provision for billable client work and an incentivising commission
Continuous Professional Development & Support in Future Growth
Mentoring & Technical Backstopping
