MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To execute specific works related to bricklaying, block laying and concrete weeks according to prescribed standards and procedures on buildings xi the Planning, Projects. Housing and Administration Section

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

⦁ Assisting with the inspection of Council properties
⦁ Assisting with the maintenance of council properties
⦁ Assisting with laying bracks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level
⦁ Fastening bricks with ware clamps or cement.
⦁ Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights
⦁ Assistxig to perform basic construction tasks by using equipment and tools effectively

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

⦁ Grade 10 with Level 1 in Bricklayer Trade Certificate
⦁ Code C driver’s license
⦁ 1-year relevant bricklayer experience
⦁ Supervisory skills
⦁ Good interpersonal and communication skills
⦁ Ability to work independently
⦁ Good technical writing and calculating skills
⦁ Attention to detail.
