MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

National Diploma, in Road Construction/ Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification on NQF Level 6.
Eight (8) years relevant experience in roads and stormwater maintenance
Skills in Road Infrastructure and Storm Water, Project Management, Computer Literacy Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Good Housekeeping, Operating road work machinery

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Ability to inspect and report roads and sidewalks on a weekly basis for any defect
Inspection of stormwater systems for cleanliness
Supervision of teams or contractors doing repairs on roads and stormwater
Assist with the appointment of contractors
Dealing with all public queries concerning roads and stormwater
Ability to operate and maintain road work machinery
Ensuring good housekeeping as well as health and safety
Compiling the monthly and weekly work plans and reports
Reporting any malfunctioning of equipment to the immediate supervisor for action

REMUNERATION AND BENEFIT

A competitive remuneration package that includes a basic salary of N$290,189.43, Annual and Sick Leave, Pension Fund (21.7% Council contribution), Medical Aid (85%/15%), 13th Cheque, Housing Allowance (40% of basic salary if you own a house with a mortgage bond and 20% if you do not own a house)
