Job Description

The Challenge

Supervises production according to prescribed targets and controls the safe, efficient operation of the plant and ancillary equipment according to prescribed standards and procedures. Responsibilities include the control of allocated manpower. Undertake regular tours to ensure the plant is operating at the required rate and specified conditions are being adhered to. Check that the correct type and quality of materials/equipment are being used and conduct ad-hoc inspections.

Qualifications

The Ideal Applicant

Grade 12 Certificate (20 points over 5 subjects, and an E in English) Mathematics or Physical Science or Equivalent National Senior Certificate
Cat 4 Operator Training
Certificate of Competence as Foreman
Four ( 4 ) years of experience at the Process Controller/Dredge Controller level, with 2 years of Foreman experience.
Code B Drivers’ license
