BUYER I – AGRIMARK MARIENTAL
The purpose of the position to ensure effective planning, maintenance of parameters, and procurement of products in order to meet customer service levels within agreed days of stock cover.
Key responsibilities include:
⦁ Ordering of stock for Outdoor Centre Express
⦁ Daily stock counts and reporting any deviations or shortages
⦁ Manage and control received stock, and handle any stock transfers
⦁ Identify customer needs and forecast customer trends
⦁ Provide needed information on products, their prices, and promotions
⦁ Provide prices and quotations of products
⦁ Administrative related tasks
⦁ Adhere to security measures
⦁ Housekeeping of the store and premises
⦁ Ad hoc and various tasks in line with the scope and duties of this position
The suitable applicant will have:
⦁ A valid Grade 12 (with at least 23 points)
⦁ A two-year relevant tertiary education would be an advantage
⦁ At least 2-3 years’ experience in an agriculture, commerce, wholesale, or retail environment
⦁ Specific knowledge of farming equipment and agricultural products
⦁ Knowledge and understanding of the needs of agricultural producers
⦁ Exposure to – and experience with working on the Agri SMART system
⦁ Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
⦁ Proven computer skills with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Afrikaans
⦁ Attention to detail, a reliable, accurate and dependable person
⦁ Namibian citizenship with a friendly disposition, an excellent communicator with ability to function well under pressure.
