PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Clinical Nursing/primary healthcare of Trainees: The role will ensure smooth administration of primary healthcare treatments and prescribes medication in relation to the injuries/ailment and in accordance with legislation.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
⦁ Administers Primary Healthcare treatments and prescribes medication in relation to injury/ailment and in accordance with legislation.
⦁ Takes necessary emergency action and care depending on seriousness of injuries/illnesses.
⦁ Perform physical examinations and simple tests such as urine.
⦁ Conducts routine check-ups of patients according to specific needs and situations.
⦁ Provides support and advice on health, well-being, family planning and medication, side effects and interactions.
⦁ Refers specialized conditions to specialists and other medical resources as necessary
⦁ Records all information and details of patients according to required procedure.
⦁ Records medicine stock and supplies to monitor when received and dispensed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
⦁ 4-year degree in nursing, as well as registration with the Health Professions Council of Namibia.
⦁ 3 years’ experience in a clinic environment, of which 2 of those years should be as a Registered Nurse.
Supplementary requirements
⦁ Dispensing course for health professionals in Namibia will be added advantage.
