Key Competency Requirements
Either an M. Med (Haematology) or FC Pathology (S.A.) (Haematology) qualification is required
Current registration with the HPCNA as a Pathologist
Proven and recent direct laboratory involvement and experience, including morphology of peripheral blood smears, bone marrow aspirate and trephine biopsies, flow cytometry, molecular tests, quality assurance programmes, test method validation etc.
Competent and able to travel and perform bone marrow biopsies on all age groups, primarily focused in the Windhoek area.
The ability to strengthen and expand PathCare’s Haematology services
Willingness to travel, do locums, prepare and present CPD lectures as and when required.
Willingness to attend and present at clinical morphology meetings
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in private practice will be a recommendation
A minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience as a Haematopathologist
Client-focused with strong interpersonal relations
Must be fluent in English

Ability to work effectively under pressure and display resilience and tenacity in challenging situations
Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of people
Must have an acceptable track record with regard to the technical and behavioral competencies required to perform in this position
