GRADUATE: RENEWABLE ENERGY – CENORED 717 views

VACANCY:
The incumbent will report directly to the Manager: Engineering & Planning and will be responsible for ensuring beneficial
participation of CENORED in the renewable energy market as per the new MSB policy, which include but not limited to
feasibility studies, designs, operations of renewable energy plants of various technologies.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, AMONGST OTHERS
• Assist CENORED in the Just Energy Transition (JET) process implementation endeavours.
• Support in drafting of business cases for renewable energy opportunities.
• Support in providing guidelines on energy efficient solutions.
• Provide support to optimize usage of diesel generators at hybrid sites.
• Support the team in procuring green energy solutions involving market research, requests for proposal and
technical evaluation and implementation of selected solutions.
• Support in daily monitoring (analysis) and operation of installed renewable solutions.

PREFERENCE
• A strong interest in renewable energy, project development and management with solid communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Comfortable working both independently and in diverse teams.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Energy/Electrical, Energy Economics, Sustainable Energy Systems or equivalent.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge and understanding of Namibia’s economy, laws and regulations as well as policies relating to
renewable energy, climate, conservation, and environment.
• Knowledge of energy and climate policy.
• Knowledge and/or experience with any of the following knowledge areas: Renewable Energy, Data Analytics,
Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Communications, Risk, Procurement and Stakeholders Management.

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field specified above is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to work effectively individually and as a team, and to coordinate with relevant sections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications is necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communications skills.
