VACANCY
PHIM Group is a multidisciplinary Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company. The company hereby seeks qualified and motivated Resident Engineers for a Power Station construction project in Walvis Bay.

Responsibilities:
⦁ Perform site quality control observations and assessments.
⦁ Inspect and assess the quality of materials being used for construction.
⦁ Calculate the quantity of material, supplies, and equipment needed for the project.
⦁ Verify and approve invoices and payment certificates from suppliers and sub­contractors.
⦁ Oversee the work of field staff to ensure the efficacy of work procedures.
⦁ Ensure compliance to project specifications.
⦁ Make sure that all construction activities are being carried out following correct safety procedures.
⦁ Provide technical advice to construction staff whenever it is needed.
⦁ Identify construction constraints and plan and carry out measures to counter them.
⦁ Ensure all tests are done according to the applicable standards.
⦁ Prepare period reports and assessments for each project phase.

Requirements& Experience:
⦁ BTech/ B.Eng/ B.Science in Mechanical Engineering.
⦁ Professional/lnc Registered professional with the Engineering Council of Namibia (ECN).
⦁ Minimum 7 years experience in a construction and project management environment for ECN Registered Professional/lncorporated Engineers.
⦁ Minimum 10 years experience in a construction and project management environment for ECN Professional/lncorporated Engineers Registered in Training.
