WAITRESS– SPUR GRILL & GO
The incumbent will be responsible for creating a good first impression, meeting, and exceeding customers’
expectations through delivering quality service with a great attitude thus ensuring your customers always
return.

Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure waitron stations are adequately stocked with replacement crockery and cutlery or other
established needs, be they food or equipment
• Present menus to customers and inform them of specials, unavailable wines, and nibbles on your first
visit to the table
• Advise customers on menu choices to meet their needs
• Check all food served at the correct temperature
• Ensure children are served first and that they are given the prescribed colour-in and balloon vibe.
Assist in the singing of birthday songs for any party taking place in the restaurant
• Ensure ashtrays are changed and cleaned appropriately when working in the designated smoking
areas
• Report all complaints, or cases of accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, food unfit for consumption, or
any other irregularities to the manager on duty
• Clean tables and ensure they are cleaned as soon as it is apparent that customers have finished their
food or drink, with an acceptable balance between speed and allowing customers to finish their meal
without feeling rushed
• Ensure that customers are correctly charged, present the bill timeously, and take payment from the
customer in accordance with the procedures of the establishment

The suitable applicant will have:
• A valid Grade 10/12 (with at least 23 points)
• At least 1-2 years applied experience Excellent interpersonal skills
• Be a reliable, accurate, and dependable person
• Pleasant personality and excellent communicator
• The ability to work under pressure
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely
• Strong listening, interpersonal and mediation skills
• Be attentive and anticipate all customers’ needs, also double-check all food and beverages before
serving
