SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER
(Paterson C4 Band)
Remuneration and Benefits: Minimum (N$302 471.00)
Market related salary package, Medical Aid, Pension Fund, Housing Allowance/Subsidy, Transport allowance, 35 m3 free
water per month and 20 working days leave per annum.
Main purpose of the job: Guide Council in the development and accurate execution of all key projects, by ensuring that
specialize technical expertise is provided to enable them to function effectively during the planning, awarding, contract
implementation, monitoring, and evaluation processes. The position is key in providing advice of a technical nature and
makes recommendations to the user departments through the Head of Procurement and their respective General Manager
as required. The position further provides guidance to all relevant stakeholder in respect of appropriateness and accuracy of
documentation, processes and timelines as required by the Public Procurement Act no 15 of 2015 and actively monitors the
timely implementation of all Council ongoing contracts.

Key performance areas: Responsible to perform general procurement administration functions, supervise the Procurement
Unit, policy implementation and compliance, procurement process execution, secretariat to the procurement committee,
procurement reporting and contract management, supervision/leadership, stakeholder engagement and occupational health
and safety.

Requirements:
 Applicants should have a Diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain Management, or Project Management (specializing
in supply chain management, Procurement Management, or logistics),
 Four (4) years’ experience in a Procurement/Supply Chain or Commerce environment of which a minimum of two (2)
years were at a Procurement Officer level, and
 Code B driver’s license.
