VACANCY – SAFETY OFFICER

Oshitenda Business Group Ct based in Swakopmund, specializes in Earthmoving Equipment, Engineering Services, Civil Services, Scaffolding hire as well as Mining and Industrial Supplies.

Oshitenda Business Group is seeking to appoint an experienced Safety Officer.

Key areas responsibilities

• Delivering safety inductions on site and other relevant safety training within the business.
• Responsible for assisting in the review implementation and ensuring adherence to all safety standards and procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and assist the line management in proactively identifying and managing at risk behaviour.
• Provide support in Safety Risk Management through participating in and/or conducting safety risk assessments.
• Conduct site safety audits and compile reports.
• Ensure all safety incident investigations and reporting are completed accurately and in a timely manner, according to relevant statutory legislation and company procedures.
• Undertake safety reporting and administrative requirements.
• Attend and participate in regular safety meetings.
• Accident and Incident investigation

Qualifying requirements

• SAMTRAC qualifications or Similar
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Safety Officer in a mining industry.
