PURPOSE OF POSITION

To inspect and receive all raw material, packaging material and chemicals from supplier as well as to verify that the right quantities have been delivered, according to the invoice quantity. Report all damages to the relevant Procurement Officer and Warehouse Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

Grade 12
1–2-year Certificate in Warehouse/ Logistics
General warehouse experience of up to 2 years
Previous experience in Receiving- in an FMCG environment

KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:

Count all incoming goods and compare physical stock quantity to invoice quantity
Perform thorough inspection on the quality of products delivered with the support of the Incoming Supply Coordinator.
Sign off invoice as proof of delivery and initiate a claim where damaged/ short deliveries have been identified and forward to relevant Procurement Officer
Consolidate and pick depot orders, write out delivery note and send them to Manager Cooler for further distribution
Record all invoices received from Suppliers, consolidate and submit report to Manager Warehouse
Initiate a claim process and attach photographs where the product quality and standard specifications are not met and forward to Procurement Officer.
Assist with stock takes as and when required
Perform stock re-counts where discrepancies occur and record on stock sheet
Monitor labelling of pallets according to the date label system to facilitate FIFO
Assist with the operation of the forklift duties where required
Secure all doors/gates in and around the warehouse as part of the closing procedure
