Main Responsibilities

Obtains the weekly bank statement and daily returns
Verifies the submitted proof of payments against the bank statement
Forwards the returns to the Cashiers for processing
Follows up with clients where payment has been received but the levy return form is outstanding
Obtains the list of clients who have not submitted levy return forms
Follows up with clients where the levy return form is outstanding
Follows up with clients who not paid levies
Completes the bank deposit slip with relevant account details
Prepares the seal bag in the presence of the superior, inserting cash and completed deposit slip, writing the Namibia Tourism Board’s details on the bag, and dropping it in the safe
Completes and signs the collection register at collection of the seal bag
Writes the sequence numbers of security banking bags in the deposit books
Hands the deposit book to superior for safekeeping
Files levy returns, receipts and open files daily
Sorts and maintains an accurate filing system for all customer documents
Updates any information related to customers to reflect changes
Cash Book processing to Accounting System

Duty Requirement(s)
Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 (NQF level 4) Accounting as a Subject a Must

Experience Requirements:
1 years’ experience in a similar or related role

Training Requirements:

Preferably Financial and Management Accounting Systems
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Special Requirements:
May be required to work overtime or extended hours
Must have a valid BE driver’s licence
