Transport Allowance : N$7,680 per annum

Appointment requirements: An appropriate 4-year B. Sc. or B.Sc. Hons. Degree or an
equivalent qualification (NQF Level 8) in one or more of the following directions: Fisheries and
Aquatic Sciences, Physical or Biological Oceanography.
Additional requirements: The candidate must have a high degree of computer literacy
(particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Access software) and a valid code BE driver’s license
will be an advantage.
Responsibilities: One Fisheries Biologist will be responsible for conducting research on marine
mammals and will be required to independently carry out and/or assist with scientific
investigations, compile scientific reports and present findings at research meetings, seminars,
symposia, etc. S/he will be expected to work at sea/field for about 60 days per annum.
