IT Manager –  NAMFORCE – Windhoek, Namibia 1028 views

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions and to ensure that the IT operations are aligned to company strategy. This position support and maintain the existing infrastructure, applications, and the development of new technical solutions.

Key Performance Areas:

• Develop and implement all IT policies, procedures, standards and governance frameworks.
• Commission IT audits and ensure that relevant risks are identified and mitigated.
• Develop  and adopt responsive company IT infrastructure and systems.
• Develops and monitors companywide network and systems security and back up programs.
• Manages and implements all IT related projects.
• Oversee the end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
• Recommend an optimal IT division structure to ensure an optimal operations.
• Perform employee functions and ensure correct performance management processess.

Education and Experience Required:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science,  or relevant engineering field or equivalent qualification with eight years’ experience in IT and ICT  systems environment.  IT Certifications in A+, N+ or MCSA/E or other certifications are an added advantage.

The incumbent should have specific experience and exposure of Policy Administration systems , IT solutions, desktop, notebook, tablet, mobile, server computer hardware as well as local and wide area network design, implementation, and operation (LAN, WAN, WIFI, VPN). Experience in the insurance sector will be a distinctive advantage.
