About the role
We are looking for a maintainer mobile fitter to carry out carry out the planned and breakdown maintenance to our mobile equipment activities helping contribute to increasing equipment reliability and availability of the Port Hedland salt mobile fleet assets.
What the role entails
This role is a great opportunity for a self-driven and organised individual looking to further develop their experience in the mobile fleet environment. Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, you will be:
Carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance to mobile equipment fleet
Working towards increasing equipment reliability and availability of the mobile equipment fleet
Working effectively to maintenance schedule
Utilising SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks and progress are recorded
Fostering a culture of zero harm and continuous improvement

About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A relevant Heavy Diesel or Plant Mechanic qualification
A manual C Class Drivers Licence
The ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
Sound problem identification and solving skills with the ability to work autonomously but with a team focus
Proven experience in being a safe and responsible tradesperson with a ‘can do’ attitude
Where you will be working
Dampier Salt has three operations located at Dampier, Port Hedland and Lake MacLeod and is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. Salt is produced through a sustainable process of solar evaporation of sea water; we reliably deliver high quality salt essential for making thousands of products used in everyday life.
